My inspiration: There are a lot of things that inspired me.

I Joined the Impact because... I believe in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I believe in equality. I just want to make a positive difference in people's lives. I want to use my talents to forward the message of equality the best that I can (without being obtrusive).
It may seem at first that I am not serious about wanting to make a difference but that would be wrong. I would love nothing more than to make something of my life by helping others.
How is it that we can look at someone and say, "Those people shouldn't have the same rights as me because they are different"? Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people are no different than anyone else. To quote William Shakespeare, "If you prick us do we not bleed? If you tickle us do we not laugh? If you poison us do we not die? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?" They are human just like the rest of us and deserve the same human rights as everyone else. People that cannot except that fact are living in the past, hindering progress.
