Occupation: Full-time Student - ya I got a late start. Better late than never!

I'll be graduating in May of this year with a BA in Political Science. I will return to school in September to obtain my single-subject teaching credentials to teach high school Civics or American Government.
Personal Information: I have been single for 5 years now after being with my former partner for nearly 13 years - we are now best friends (and that is sometimes where the difficulty in dating comes in.) Many people see our friendship (despite him being partnered with someone else) as a threat to a potential relationships.....but I keep seeking Mr. Right. I have never looked for Mr. Right Now, and do not intend to. I can name on 1 hand my sexual partners - and I remain friends with all of them, which in both cases are pretty rare in the LGBT community.

Despite that, I still believe that eventually we (LGBT community) will have our full and equal rights to our straight counterparts, and I will continue to fight for our rights even if I don't find my Mr. Right, but I keep the faith in that I believe he is out there somewhere. :)

My inspiration: If I wake up, I'm doing great. If I don't, I'm doing even better. I say this because I have had a very close encounter with death and decided that I could be miserable or I could wake up each morning and live life to its fullest and help others whenever I possibly can.....I chose the later. That IS my true inspiration.
