Favorite historical moment: May 21st 1979 about 5:00 PM (just a month short of the 10 year anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising): In response to an all white, all straight jury's verdict in the dual assassination of San Francisco Mayor Geroge Moscone and first gay elected, Supervisor Harvey Milk, when assailant Dan White was found guilty of the far lesser crime of involuntary manslaughter by virtue of a "diminished capacity" attributed to eating too many twinkies, the "people-homo" embraced their inner warrior, threw off the shackles of two millennium of hatred and derision, and claimed their birthright as defenders of the tribe against the powers and principalities of oppression before whom they would never again bow down.
