I Joined the Impact because... I really heard Obama when he said "the fierce urgency of now" and also heard him when he said, "we are the change that we seek", so when prop 8 passed, I took personal responsibility in the fact that I did not do enough to prevent it from passing. Throwing money at the issue did not solve the problem, I had to act for change to come. Protesting, boycotting, letter-writing, being vocal about the issue to my friends and family and co-workers is what is going to "impact" and create the change that we seek...EQUALITY!
