The best word to describe me is: Gee this is a hard one. At times I am an artist, other times a poet, sometimes I am even a bit of a spiritualist.

My inspiration: Anything having to do with nature.

I Joined the Impact because... I joined Impact because I wanted to let everone in Western Kentucky know about a GLBTQ association that I help start a few years ago that is doing wonderful things in Western Kentucky. It is a not for profit social organization that is opening door for our local GLBTQ youth by way of gaining more acceptance in the community as a whole. Living in a small town in Kentucky I have seen far to many young people feel lost and isolated, with no common group or gathering place. So we set up this club back in 2003 to give them a way of being themselves and bettering the community while building friendships that hopefully will last a life time. I have been open and out in the gay scene for some 30+ years and yes during that time I have seen alot of changes for the positive, but I also have seen alot of pain. I cannot tell you how many of my friends died during the outbreak of Aids nor can I tell you how may people I have seen either murdered or beaten up simply for being them. The ignorance and bigotry that rules this country has to end. People need to be free to be who they are. If I can help make that happen in some small way then so be it.
