Everyone certainly should "understand" that the term arrived from someone that was "under" someone else and took a "stand".

It is time for us as a gay community, armed with enlightened heterosexual people to take a "stand".

We should cultivate relationships that are are not ambiguous, nor deprive us of a sense of self-worth, quality of life; most importantly our esteem.

We should not.....and CAN NOT be ashamed of ourselves or our relationships! Let's make our voice heard and demand equality.
