I roll around in my pretty blue scooter - and oh yeah - I'm an out lesbian - and also I'm from the "baby boomer" generation.

Adopted Hometown: a small city/town in southern california

Pleasure: Haagen Daaz Chocolate Chocolate Chip ice cream

Hero - maternal grandmother

Favorite author - Nocola Griffith

Currently reading the last two books of the Harry Potter series - couldn't stand to read the end before - now I'm ready.

Join The Impact originally attracted me - as a forum to discuss LGBT issues. For awhile things seemed to have really slowed down - but now it feels like a new direction is taking shape here.

I am an out lesbian - and I am not in a relationship. Also I am a bit of an activist and enjoy commenting on things LGBTQ.

I'm no longer in the workforce - mostly due to disability - and it came just before I was eligible for retirement - but it has given me more time get involved with things important to me.

Here's to the friends I've already met through JTI - and to the friends I will meet. I don't have family so friends mean a lot. Also - I'm not Christian - I'm Jewish. Actually I'm a member of Reformed Judaism - which accepts everybody as people - and gives everybody a chance.

I'm not really a fan of folks who quote the Bible and use it in a harsh way - nor am I a fan of folks who use biblical quotes to decide who should have rights and who shouldn't. I believe in equal rights and civil rights, etc.

One of the places I like to comment is - jaysays.com - I'm actually one of the contributors. So I'm back to enjoy and express here - and looking forward to honest non-confrontational (hopefully) discussions. Oh yeah - I have contacted my local lgbt center and asked them (no actually pleaded with them... well in an email...) to put together some people for the Nationwide Kiss-In on August 15th. I may not have somebody to smooch - but I can be there in support - and who knows..... maybe I will be surprised?!?!

I highly recommend:
