Hello, my name is Rob
I Joined the Impact because I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines. I was active in the community when I was still in high school but after graduation I became disgusted with the way pride events were handled. I didn't want to be associated with the nudity, the acts of perversion, the glitz and glamour of it all. I just wanted to love and live my life. Ignorance and injustice has caused me to take a stand because if I don't fight - if we don't fight - then I cannot love or live my life the way I want. This grassroots movement has showed me that there is a younger generation out there that wants to fight the way I want to fight. They've left the chaps in the bedroom where they belong and have stepped out into the streets waving banners, signs, and flags that proclaim that we're not going anywhere. I've longed for a movement that is peaceful and respectful. I think we all have grown tired of waiting for the HRC to start that movement and that's why I'm here to help in any way I can. My boyfriend, Jon, and I (together 4 years) are completely committed to ending this injustice. Share your favorites
