MOVE FOR EQUALITY: LET'S REWARD STATES THAT DON'T LEGISLATE H8!!
VALENTINE'S DAY PSYCHEDELIC LOVE JAMBOREE!!!
Let's turn Valentine's Day (2/14/9) into an opportunity to share our lives and loves with the rest of the world by making a point to celebrate this day of love in restaurants, communities and towns where - well, where we're often times invisible. If you live in a gay-friendly place, go to an envelope pushing area where you can show people that love comes in all shapes and sizes. There's no organizer required - just get together with those you care about and have a great time. You'll no doubt have an opportunity to change a heart or two at the same time. LET'S SCREEN SUNDANCE IN TAOS, NM: Let's support our LGBT allies in New Mexico by moving the Sundance film festival from Park City, Utah to Taos, NM. New Mexico is the only state in the mountain west that has not legislated discrimination into its constitution, and Equality New Mexico has a decent shot of getting domestic partner benefits through the state legislature this year. Utah, by contrast, was one of the first states to legislate discrimination into its constitution. LGBT film producers and movie fans should reward the struggle for equality and stop subsidizing hate.

Wear: BLACK ARM-BAND: THREE HOURS. Noon to 3PM .on Jan 20, 2009 To Protest Rick Warren.
Pledge to wear a black arm band on Inauguration Day, January 20,2009 from noon to three p.m. EST (make the adjustments from Atlantic to Pacific zones).Also in the Christian tradition, on Good Friday, we especially observe three hours....noon to three. In this sense, the inauguration will have been completed, and the parade already passed.This is great, a nice, quiet protest without violence or words of hate. Just a black arm band to remind us all that we're still not fully equal and President-elect Obama's actions will not go unnoticed.

Don't Recognize Marriage
This is a great idea that everyone can use everyday to open the eyes of people that don't understand our struggle. This is a call for the GLBT community and it's allies to stop recognizing marriage until marriage is recognized for all.

The Families You Know™ is a social media campaign that profiles families in which one or more members is lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. Families where children, siblings, parents, grandparents and friends are loved, respected, cared for and nurtured. Its goal is to raise awareness, confront prejudice, and begin a conversation where all families are respected, valued, and not exploited for short-term political gain.
What Can I Do TODAY
Rainbow Holidays - National Show of Strength and Unity
Show ourselves in a positive light while we shop for the holidays. Wear the rainbow colors. Mark our money and checks with "Gay $$". Support other shopping rallies and support "Day Without A Gay" to make an even greater impact.
Economic Juijitsu
Give the collapse of GLOBAL economies activities PERCEIVED as having a NEGATIVE impact on the economy can be dangerous because when things are bad, folks look for SCAPEGOATS. Let's take a clue from the President Elect of the USA, Barack Obama - master of political jujitsu - and direct our righteous angry energy to build up LGBTQ communities and contribute the the greater good.
