After the disappointment in California, it's time for Vermont to reclaim its leadership role in the civil rights issue of marriage equality.

Vermont Freedom to Marry is leading a Peaceful Demonstration for Equality at City Hall in Burlington on Saturday, November 15, 1:30-230 pm -- in solidarity with equality advocates in cities nationwide.

We're deeply disappointed about what happened on Election Day in California. But we're also galvanized. Right now Vermont has a great opportunity to reclaim its civil rights leadership on this issue. We invite you to join us this Saturday at 1:30 pm to learn more.

Bring your families, friendly pets, and all your friends. Show Vermont loving, caring individuals and families in action! Hear equality leaders and other community members speak on what YOU can do to move Vermont forward to full marriage equality.

Thank you for joining us for this positive, family-friendly event!

Let's go Vermont! I'm excited to be part of this, and to have the opportunity to thank Vermont for leading out toward equality for everyone. Let's get the word out and do the state proud! I've heard way to many excuses today for why not to go all the way up to Burlington for this, but for the largest LGBTQ civil rights demonstration ever, you won't find me anywhere else.
