| | November 15, 2008 National Marriage Equality Protest and Rally
This was Delaware's very first demonstration for gay rights, and approximately 30 people were in attendance. | |
| | December 20, 2008 Light Up The Night candlelight vigil and food drive Covered by the Delaware State News, picture to the left. Three other people attended who were not in the picture - one chose not to be named, the others arrived a bit late and missed the press. :) We also had people from the Unitarian Universalists of Central Delaware join us around 6:00 PM. | |
| | January 10, 2009 Nationwide DOMA Protests Seven people came out to help collect signatures on the petition to repeal DOMA. We collected approximately 50 signatures - exact figures to follow. | |
| | February 12, 2009 National Freedom to Marry Day This was probably one of our most successful events held. Only 6 people participated, but over 30 signatures were gathered (making approximately 130 sent from Delaware), there was significant support from the community, and some great contacts were made. This was also the most media attention we have received. Reporters from the news channel WBOC attended, as well as from the Delaware State News and the Dover Post. Pictures were featured in both of those publications. |
