Hey-- are any of you out there married or engaged in countries where gay marriage already is protected and recognized by the law? As far as I know this includes Canada, the Netherlands, and Belgium, and I think Spain.
I was thinking you could help tell your stories, what marriage means to you, why you love your partner and family, etc. It'd be great to post these stories online as encouragement to Americans back home to never give up for what's right. Could we make an international site for these things? Videos, writings, and stuff.

I am a United States citizen currently living in Córdoba, Argentina. I wish I was in the states right now to be apart of this protest, but if there is anything I can do here, I would love to help the effort.

I actually live just over the French border, but I imagine rallying in Geneva would have more of an impact than gathering in a small French town. I know that both Switzerland and France recognize some sort of civil union status for homosexual couples, but they generally do not share all the rights as heterosexual couples. I would like to see true equality, not "second-rate" or "close enough"! Please email me at dfurlani at web dot de if you're interested in participating.

I can't find this "easy edit" button but no matter.
I can host/organize for Hong Kong. My name's Robert and can be reached at honestrep262@yahoo.com I figure we march near the embassy as it is as close as we can get to US power. I recognize that it may not work and we may get broken up quickly due to the high level security they tend to surround our embassies with. But it doesn't matter. Email me I don't wanna go alone!

As a sister of a lesbian and as an American, I would like to be able to fight Prop 8. I am appalled and ashamed that my country has failed to see past the bigotry . I thought in America we were free to love who we want , free to be able to spend the rest of your life with that person. Gays have the right to have the same rights to a wife or husband, have kids, the so-called American Dream'' that apparently only straight people are allowed to have. Even the right for gay couples to adopt in Arkansas was taken away. What is my country coming to? It's insane.
I may be in Japan, but I will try to help as much as I can.
