Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

US Constitution, Amendment 14- Citizenship, Due Process, and Equal Protection of the Laws

Section 1 All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.


The United States Constitution states that all citizens are to be allowed the same protection of the laws. Why then are we not allowed to marry the one whom we love? Why aren't we allowed any of the tax benefits of marriage? Why aren't we allowed to adopt, but drug addicts can have as many children as they want?

It's time to stop writing letters and start doing something! The First Amendment gives us the right to assembly, so why not use that right? In a peaceful manner, of course! I say TAKE IT TO THE LAWMAKERS! Meet them face to face and tell them what they can do for us! They work for us anyway, why not make them earn their money!!!
