Bring homemade protest signs and accessories. Buy products (yard signs, bumper stickers, banners, etc.) and donate to the 'California Marriage Equality Act' ballot campaign. Have refreshments: Bottled water, snacks, etc. Remember: Please be respectful and civil with people who may disagree with you. Have police authorities with you during the protest/rally. This is to help keep civility and stability. | California has a huge diverse population and its up to this ballot initiative campaign to reach out and speak up for the Golden State's diversity. What can you do to support marriage equality NOW? Speak to at least three people you know whether it be a friend, relative, or acquaintance from California. Keep up the conversation for months and don't give up. Please note that this event is just a plan. Grassroots protests and rallies won't begin probably until the start of the 2010 Gubernatorial Election, which is next year. Exit Lynn, turn right. Will be the first stop light. FROM AGOURA / LOS ANGELES: take the 101 North. Exit Lynn, turn right. Will be the first stop light. Best parking is in the parking lot of the mall or of Circuit City. | We will be with signs demanding equality and asking for the return of our rights. In addition, we will be gathering to sign letters which will be sent to President Elect Obama on his first day in office, reassuring that he keep his promises to eliminate DOMA- the Defense Of Marriage Act, which applies discrimination to the gay community in the Federal Constitution- not just California's. Please make all effort to come and join us, bring your friends, your family, your coworkers, your partners. And if you can't, help out by spreading the word.

LIGHT UP THE NIGHT FOR EQUALITY | DECEMBER 20, 2008 | 5PM WHAT IS IT? On December 20th, we ask that you join us again for a nation-wide demonstration that will make an impact on the private sector. Candlelight vigils will be held at commercial centers in cities across the country in remembrance of the rights that once were for 18,000 marriages, and in honor of the rights that one day will be again - for EVERYONE.
