Overturn DOMAThis is a featured page

What is needed to get propositions to Overturn DOMA back on the ballot in certain states that are more progressive in their views toward gay marriage? We should take the momentum we're building to overturn these laws at the ballot, picking more progressive states at the beginning (i.e. Washington, California) where the state legislature would vote to enact marriage if they were not restrained by their state constitutions. We could take advantage of traditional low turn out in an off year cycle if we mobilize our supporters to a greater degree than those who support DOMA. Any thoughts?

I would like to think that overturning D.O.M.A. is possible but we need legal advice on whether this is possible at this time or whether we should focus our efforts on doing things state by state first. So if anyone is a lawyer or knows about these legal issues, let us know...
