Sen. Daylin Leach introduced a bill last week to legalize same sex marriage in PA. As I read an article about it I became inspired and frustrated. Inspired because something is happening in PA and frustrated by the defeated tone and acceptance that it probably won't be addressed for some time because the senate is dealing with the budget and because more likely than not it will not be well met.
I have been wishing for a National March for some time and have never been wooed by President Obama. While I believe that he and his administration will bring forth great changes in this country I do not believe that we will be as big a part of that change as originally promised. I have personally been mobilized and I hope that many others, both LGBT and straight, will get involved and stand up and be heard. Michelle

It's been pretty quiet in the Pennsylvania section other than that occasional post from Erie. I'm wondering if any community organizers have started planning for Light Up the Night for Equality in either the Lehigh Valley or Philadelphia area.. I'd be completely willing to help in any way I can. I'd put this thing together myself but I have no idea how (phone calls, locations, permits, etc.)
Organizers, I know a lot of cities have their own facebook pages running but please don't forget to update information on this site as well. A lot of people visit this page because it's a hub of information and the sooner it's posted the better the turnout.

We will be signing postcards as part of Project Postcard and also collecting food for the Second Harvest Food Bank on NW PA this Tuesday, November 25 at 7 PM at the Zone Dance Club, 133 W 18th St, Erie PA as part of the Erie Gay News folding/distribution work party. Several of the organizers of the Prop 8 protest rally will be there, so we will probably be talking about future actions as well. Hope that you can join us.
