| Meeting Alert: Home Alive | February 8th at 1pm |
| You are invited, as a member of Home Alive's community, to a meeting on Sunday, February 8th at 1pm at our studio (1415 10th Avenue, upstairs, #3 (between Pike and Union)). Home Alive is rooted in the community, and needs you now more than ever. Given our current and historic financial and structural realities, we have just made a decision to close our office and to stop having paid office staff. Come to the community meeting to learn about the financial and structural state of Home Alive, weigh in on what decisions we have made, hear about what options we are exploring for how to continue delivering our program, and talk about how you can contribute to Home Alive's future success. With your help, Home Alive's mission will live on and our programs will continue, but not without radical change. Among other things, we will also seek commitments from you, our community, to help us raise money. Home Alive has lots of ideas for ways to get us on the right path; we need your help and resources to make that happen. Contact Cait Alexander, the Interim Program Director, at info@homealive,org or 206.323.4663 ext 1, to let her know you are coming. Also, please extend the invitation to anyone you know who might be interested in participating. |

| We want to reach as many people as possible. Because of this, we are spreading out to TWO LOCATIONS. The point here is not to have 1000's of people in one area - it's to REACH 1000's of people in one night. Join us at UVillage OR at the Pike Place Market (start) to Westlake Center (end). | I'll be collecting food and storing it at my house. Please email me with questions or requests to drop off food: amy@jointheimpact.com | ||||

| UVillage Info: | CONTACT: Amy Kahler akkahler@gmail.com Please email me with any questions or if you'd like to help out! | I'm the organizer for the UVillage candlelight vigil. I'll post details as they come, or check on the Facebook group (Light up the Night for Equality - University Village Seattle). **UPDATE** The meeting point will be on the W side of Anthropology outside at 4:45pm. Please check in with me so I can give you some specific directions. The event will be from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm. Remember to bring your battery-operated candle or glowstick! **UPDATE** I have been getting inquires about tonight's event given the pending storm. The storm won't stop the shoppers so it won't stop us! Unless University Village closes down we will still plan on reaching 1000's of people with our message. This page will update if the status changes. | |||
| Downtown Seattle Info: | CONTACTS: Amy Balliett: amy@jointheimpact.com Danielle Krieger d.krieger.81@gmail.com E-mail any questions or ask what you can do to help. | I am the organizer of the Light Up The Night - Seattle event. There are to be two locations: Pike Place Market to Westlake Center and University Village. See the Facebook Page for details. We will begin at 4pm at Victor Stienbrueck Park on the North end of the Pike Place Market. We are starting early in order to reach everyone at the market (which closes around 5pm). At 5pm, we will mobilize, sending groups to every corner of the downtown shopping area (Between Pike & Olive and 4th & 7th Ave). The goal is to reach 1000's of people with our message for equality. UPDATE! Tonight's storm will NOT stop the downtown Seattle event either! We are prepared to have hundreds if not thousands of people with us and UVillage! Please help us spread the message of equality to at least 10,000 people tonight! | |||
