Proposition 8

The truth is proposition 8 has nothing to do with two people loving each other. Its about controlling who's sexual organ goes where, which is in its self ridiculous. Californians have turned themselves into the bedroom police. I wouldn't want someone telling me that I can only have sex with my girl missionary position because that's the way its supposed to be. Nothing in life is the way its supposed to be. Nobody cares that people love each other, it's their sexual organs they can't get past. People will love each other no matter what color height sex ect. Gay people want the same rights as any other American. Prop 8 has created a new class of people Gays. As stated by the California constitution Gays are beneath the majority of the population because they choose to love and express themselves with someone of the same sex. If you have a problem with gay sex, then don't do it: no one is forcing it upon anyone.


Argument: Don't really see the correlation between slavery and gay marriage. One involves forced bondage and destruction of one's humanity, the other involves not being allowed to participate in a cultural ceremony.

Response: The removal of one's right to be with the one they love based on sexual organs is a form of forced bondage and making them a second class citizen is the destruction of a beings humanity knowing you are thought of as less than others. Black and Gay struggles are one in the same fighting for equal rights in a county that has placed discrimination in every level of government. The participation of marriage is not a specific cultural ceremony; different cultures do it a different way(which is the meaning of culture: the behaviors and beliefs characteristic of a particular social, ethnic, or age group"). Marriage, even from a legal stance, is a big deal. It allows couples power of attorney for legal and death matters, health care, and taxes. What it all boils down to is discrimination.


Argument: I don't want my kids to be taught about gay marriage in school and I don't want them to think its OK for gays to be married.

Response: Kids do not care about people being gay or the sex lives of adults. Kids must be taught hate, which is what prop 8 promotes. What if your one or both of your kids were gay? Would you tell them they could never be happy and they are beneath you? Gay and Hetero couples keep their sex lives to themselves and no one in the right mind would subject their children to any kind of abuse, adopted or blood.


Argument: Its against my religion.

Response: Marriage predates religion and is a bond of love and commitment between two people. All through out history there have have been couples of same sex relationships with different creeds and colors. Beliefs of Americans vary but we all live under the same law allowing freedom and liberty for all. How fast is the time forgotten when blacks had to sit in the back of the bus, white only fountains, Japanese internment, and Mexican farmer wages.


Argument: It destroys family values.

Response: The meaning of your personal relationship does not change because of the relationship of others. A white heterosexual couple marriage values is not affected when a black heterosexual couple marry. So why would it be different because two males or females want to be together, married? The importance of the marriage bond is not the sexual relations of the couple its the bond of love in their hearts. That is what family is about the love and care for the members of your group of people. Blood family can not be chosen but family through heart and dedication can be. Why aren't we focusing on the ways that hetero couples destroy family values?


People will love each other no matter what color, height, sex or creed.

hello Eyeopener, i would like to talk to you about the post, you seem full of anger, and i want to talk to you about the truth of why people are opposing it, i didnt feel like your arguments justified my stance on it.
I am a Roman Catholic, and this is how i look at the world as it is today
here is a quote that sums it up perfectly..

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

called it building self esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have poluted the air with profanity and pornography called it

freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers
and called it enlightenment.

I hope you have taken the time to read this because i took the time to read yours, now i would like to cover some of your points..

an act against God, and the people who are doing this sin, are not living to become who they where ment to be, as created by God.
its selfish, you dont need to have sex, unless you are making children, but god knows we all love sex, when the man and the women do it is is justifiable because it makes children, when the same sex do it. it is just a selfish act that cuts god out of the picture.
If we remove God from the picture
we are in hell. and things will only get worse.
that is why we stand against things like abortion and same sex. We love God and we dont want him taken out of the world, even tho its not fair that we are forcing you to live in a world that has God, i guess thats why they made heaven and hell, but while on earth, we will always be at conflict,

if you want gay marriage to be allowed all over the world, its simple
find a way that it fits into Gods Law, and no matter what government it will overcome Gods Law. Or you can remove God from every corner of the earth, and supress and inslave God, so that you can make rules of your own, and allow things like Gay Marriage

Now you say what if i had gay children, would i treat them as second class, and they will never be happy NO i wouldn't.
I am not better than any man or women on earth.
But as a parent and if i had found my child was gay, i would treat them the same as if i found they where a theif, or a murderer, or a lier.
i would tell them its a sin, and is against Gods plans for them.
i would tell them that they can continue to live selfishly, and do gay things and live the lifestyle, but they would never become who God wanted them to be. I would tell them that if the temptation to be gay is soo great they should pray to God for healing. I know many people who where Gay, and then found God and now have happy marriages to opposite sex with kids, and are very very happy. They defeated the sin with God. And they tell me, that being gay is very much a choice, just as much a choice to steal or murder.

If hes talking about the California lottery then hes trippin, it's a dollar and part of the money goes to education. It's open to anyone rich or poor.

Wellfare for people in need of help. I'm all for it, its not a glamorous lifestyle.

Slavery was ended with the murder of countless Americans over beliefs and Religion.

I have never met any one who was tempted to be gay. Like someone leaned over to another person of the same sex and said "Go gay this week Im sure you will like it, its kinda ridding a bike for the first time all you need to do its learn."


Cody chooses to force his views even at the expense of his own children. Would he beat them if they tried to confide in him? Cody lives in a box and doesn't want to see the world how it is. Gay anal sex has been around since the beginning of time and exists in every part of the animal kingdom. I guess he doesn't want to admit the wrong doings of his religion. Men of the cloth molesting and raping children, male and female. Hes under the impression that since god turned water to wine he would just as easy turn people from gay to "straight". Wouldn't being gay be accepted by god since we are all created in his image?
