 Having one national event a month will not drive this movement fast enough. So, while we will focus on one large event monthly to ensure that everyone has time to organize and publicize, we are going to put our focus on all avenues of outreach and education. Moving forward, we will not only stage events that focus on our demands for human rights, we will simultaneously reaffirm our commitment to those rights with outreach and volunteer efforts. Our opposition is a loud minority filled with anger. Love will always be louder if we give it the podium to speak at. It's time we use our greatest gift, the love that our community is based on, and give it the power to conquer hate and ignorance! We can no longer pin our group against another. Instead, we must reach out to all groups. Every time we touch someone's life, we gain a confidant, a friend, and an ally. We must send our government a loud message while sending a message of humanity, generosity, and love to our neighbors. | What's on the horizon?

On July 25 we have phillipine weekend. there are events the whole weekend. on saturday the 25 there is a parade down main st. most people in delano attend this! i started Delano LGBTQ. we are small. not even considered newborn. premature is a better description. but we will be marching in that parade! with the support of Bakersfield LGBTQ. just wanted to give people an idea ofwhat they could do in thier own town. and wasnt sure whre to put it.

On June 26th there is a fundraiser for the GLBT community in Phoenix to also address recovery for the masses of us who want to become sober/clean in a world where addiction is rampent . We can absolutely lremember how to laugh, relax in a bar that has been here since 1980. The show is called Flirting with Danger. The start time is 8:00pm, cost 10 dollars at The Incognito bar, 2424 e Thomas rd, call for info at 602-955-9805. It'll be fun I swear. Hope you can make it!

Day of decision protest. If Prop 8 does not get turned around there will be a loud, noisy, obnoxious protest in Saint Petersburg starting within one hour of the decision announcement. The protest will start on Central Ave at Beach Drive Downtown St. Pete and the march and madness will continue West on Central to 31st Street and end at Georgie's Alibi.
Those who want to really make a difference and quit the peaceful-get-ya-nowhere protest should contact me to confirm that you will attend. Oh and, please make the most obnoxious sign that you can think of to get your point across. I am tired of laying down peaceful and I hope that there are others out there like me that are ready to stand loud and proud and make a difference. Thanks, Larry Smith Fired Up Gays! 727-388-2601
