You know that this is really some true BS. This was one of the first places to legalize same sex marriage and then they turn around and ban it. What the FU** is wrong with them? Have they lost it? They must have for doing this. Do they have any idea that we are human as well, we are no different from them. We all love the same weather or not it is with the same sex. We need to get one in Greenville S.C. I was trying to add it, but I do not know how to do it. If there is anyone out there who knows how to do it, please let me know!
Thanks,

Your reply is an insult to gay people everywhere. Being gay is NOT A LIFESTYLE. Does your having brown eyes make you brown eyed lifestyle? IF so what is it?
Gay people do not necessarily hate religionists---it is the religionists who hate us, and are nothing but the lowest of the low wolves wearing sheeps clothing pertending to be so pious while when they are anything but.. These religionists are unAmerican fascists who seem to think that everyone should believe as they do IT is the religionists which try to make us do things that are unnatural to our nature ---like marry a person of the opposite sex. Enough is enough --the good book says ' do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. Well they started this mess/war and they are getting back as good as they get and better. If they will mind their own business, live and let live ---then the community in general certainly would not have anything against them. Church and State are separate and the California vote was not only illegal but is still unconstitutional even though it is in force. Shame on these hateful 'christians'.

As for homosexuals hating people of faith that's a blanket statement if I've ever heard one. Have you read any other posts on this website? If so how did you miss the many religion affirming discussions. You say that we should all be ashamed of ourselves for fighting for our freedom, well closed minded ignoramuses like you might do well to feel a bit more responsible for the countless hate crimes perpetrated in the name of God and the bible against the poor people who are just trying to live their lives in peace. it is after all the hate you teach that leads to such violence. And you know what? Saying that it's okay to be a bigot because of what you were raised to believe is unbearable. If we were all to take your word for it we'd still have slaves wouldn't we. And marriage is not simply a religious act. Jesus didn't even approve of marriage. You want to talk religion? Pick up that book you claim supports your ideals. You know the one I'm talking about, the one you've probably never even read, judging by the way you write and your lack of actual information. Pick it up and read the New Testament. It will hopefully expand your views, your vocabulary and teach you some grammar as well. In addition to all this you stated that gays want to "tash people faith in God" (?! ), that we don't care about people's faith. Is your faith so fragile that someone elses' opinion is is danger of "tashing"(LOL!) it? How dare you claim that we are faith breakers when members of your own community are doing everything in their power to keep rights unequal, to destroy our faith. And for that matter I know of very few gay people who hate religious people. What children need is to be kept away for fools like you who do nothing but poison their minds with your ignorance and hate.

ok.... don't take the bait. This person who posted as "Anonymous" is either an uneducated idiot, or speaks English as a second language and is still an idiot.

There's absolutely no reason to respond to this kind of rubbish.

Not taking the bait, Just trying to educate this BS idiot if that is possible which I doubt is possible. Yes, this creature's language shows just how ignorant it is and no wonder--more reasonable educated folks would not believe the myths about us that this idiot apparently does.

Whew! Okay so I was harsh. Very harsh. You are right and I should know better than to allow some idiot to get a rise out of me. People like this just make me so grumpy and I guess I just had a little too much idiocy for one day. I still think that if this person were to spend a little more time reading the bible and less time talking about things they don't understand they would be an all around better person.

More importantly if this creature would read the bible in the earliest versions available in the original languages--he would see that what the English and other modern language versions say (particularly the KJ) are not what the earliest extant copies say. This creature also needs a course in ancient history and the history of the Bible---how it was created. Furthermore Stone and Bronze age understandings of the world do not apply today for most part. Pity this poor creature's wife who may have to put up with being beaten, cast out of the house during her period because she is 'unclean' et al. I bet the creature drinks milk with fish, wears cotton and synthetic clothes together, thinks that a comet portends bad luck et al.

I don't know about calling anyone a creature. I certainly think he is a fool and a narrow minded idiot to boot . This person would greatly benefit from a formal education and some in depth analytical bible study, but a creature? No I think not.
I do, however, agree with you that this person, like many modern Christians, needs to ask certain very important questions about the relevance of the books Leviticus and Paul as well as the entirety of the bible, namely the Old Testament, in modern society. As several people in the forums have pointed out Jesus himself did not hold with Leviticus. Paul hated women with a passion and condoned slavery as well as many other things that we today abhor.
If today I were to go to Africa or Cambodia and purchase someone to do my bidding this would be a crime. If a person beats their wife because she burned their dinner or argued with them it would be abuse. Before Jesus' birth, during his life and long after his death these were commonplace occurrences that no one gave a second thought. Do these people contend that slavery ought to be reestablished and the term spousal abuse forgotten?
My favorite part of this person's post was the point at the end where they felt children should be kept away from our hate. I don't know about you but I don't hate these people. I dislike their views, I despise the poison issuing from their mouths and pens and I loath their purposeful ignorance. Still I pity them, only people who hate themselves can hate others with such fervor.

So you guys actually read throught that? The grammer was so bad I skipped most of it. Really. Why bother? If "Anonymous" wants to communicate with me, he or she can at least use spell check and write in the language I speak, and I don't speak "Idiot."

To be frank, I think I read it out of curiosity. It was so convoluted that I needed to figure out what the meaning was. It felt like I was deciphering the Rosetta Stone of Ignorance.

You think Anonymous is bad? Go to KSL, which is a radio station in Utah. When they reported that HRC delivered 27,000 letters to the Mormon church, they did not explain why in their article. The hateful comments were shocking and appalling. I've never seen so much profanity, outright hatred, bigotry and terrifying meaness. One person compared homosexuals to "turds that no matter how hard you try, you can't get them to flush down the toilet". I wrote to the radio station and complained that many posts violated their hate speech rules. I will say the Salt Lake Tribune is far more balanced and monitors their posters comments much better.

We've had differences of opinions on JTI but I've never seen outright hatred or this level of profanity. I see people who care. Yes, I see frustration. People's rights are at stake. They have the right to be frustrated.

So just ignore Anonymous and he or she will give up. What these people want is a fight. Don't waste your time. It distracts us from our real goal.

All excellent points. You are a credit to our community, we would do well to cherish the Buddha's within ourselves. We must hold on to our serenity, not only will it keep us sane, it will also give our opposers no ammunition with which to shoot us down.

Under FCC rules and regulations; it is unlawful to use profanity over the airways. IF you would like tp shut KSL down or at least have them risk being shut down--file a complaint with FCC in Washington or your local field office. (they are also online). Each year both radio and broadcast stations come up for review of their licenses to see that they are serving the public. The air waves belong to you and I and not some cable company to sell to us which is why this happens. IF they are not living up to what told the FCC they would do or they are in some fractions of the laws and rules regarding broadcast ing--they could loose their license or at least have to pay a large fine. For he nearest field office to you go to
http://www.fcc.gov/eb/rfo/ . If this does not help call any field office and tell them where you are located and they can tell you which office serves your area.
Several years ago; I was in Charleston, S.C. driving across the Cooper River Bridge with the radio on. A similar incident occured and complaints were issued. Since then the particular station has not repeated this offense. HRC sent letters to the station probably because of their homophobic stance and promotion. IF you have any questions about HRC---just ask them and if you can become a member which cost less than their fancy overpriced dinners.

We don't hate, we're just tired of being torn down by the masses of people who do not understand us. By the way, I love my mother dearly and she has her strong religious views. Her and I may not agree with each other on the gay rights issue, but I still love her and you can't tell me that I hate religious people. I just think they need to understand us a little better. Many people are ignorant about the LGBT people. Besides, you know what I also live by, a verse that goes something like this "Love thy neighbor as thyself". Jesus taught love and forgiveness. What do you teach? Regardless if the masses of people out there disagree on the gay rights issue, these very same people need to learn understanding and acceptance of who we are. Gays have been around for a very long time, they will continue to be around. There is just more of us speaking up for our rights and that is what is pissing you off. We are not going to step down because someone of ignorance is involved here.
