To My Friends: The Hart of What I am Trying to Communicate

I re-read some of my posts. They do have a neg. vibe to them. This is how I got there (with out realizing):October 15, 2008 - Maket goes down. "It's the housing bubble" Washinton, Wall-Street, and the Main Media" said. And they had compelling evidence to back up that claim. The thing that pisses me off: the housing bubble was simply the perverbial straw. I did did not look to far into it because I am a full time student and the election was right around the corner (GO-BAMA!). November 4, 2008 - Bittersweet. November 7, 2008 - I opend the JTI invite e-mail. I decided If no-one took the challenge with in 36 hours...I will do it. November 9, 2008 - SC sucks...no one anwsered the call. I launched a Massive internet campaign, took a week of off school (My professors were like...GO EVVIE!). 2 days later I finally got some help + excited Greenville and Columbia. November 15, 2008 - 320+ in Charleston, 150+ Columbia, +/-100 Greenville. 500 People in 6 days...not bad for SC. November 16, 2008 - I get a ton of comments and e-mails (good and bad). One big remark I got (from both sides) "it's the economy stupid." So I started digging. November 19, 2008 - I realized what has happend over the last 30 years may be the largest human rights violation ever. Think about our World. The top 1% has spent the last 30 years figuring out a way to embezzle money. It got so bad so fast because Bush and the Republican Congress ran wild...I can count Bush's veto's on my fingers and toes. World Debt - $55 Trillion Top Companies trading the Lions Share of the debt are going down. So, where is the $55 Trillion? This problem (thanks to Reagan and NAFTA) is World Wide. China is preparing a $2 Trillion bailout. I can't keep up with the bailouts that are flying through Congress. Other countires are giving bailouts...It still does not equil $55 Trillon. 7 out of 14 found this valuable. Do you?

Given we're going in the direction we're going in right now, do you think we can do anything productive and proactive to show people we care about the economy, without drifting from or being distracted by our core focus?

GLBT: Join “Stop the OUTRAGE” for 12/15! I am the Charleston, SC Organizer. I got 320+ people to rally and protest in 6 days. Took a week off of school and excited a defeated GLBT community. SC passed a similar Amendment in 2006 by 78%. I am trying to “ENCOURAGE” a second national effort. You may not see it at first but this idea just might wok out for everyone! JTI and the Economy need to be integrated (briefly) to achieve a lager IMPACT for GLBT and the World Economy! “Join the Impact to Stop the Outrage”…you have to admit that’s catchy. The only things we KNOW will make National news are Protests and Jack Black. I propose JTI plan a second National Protest for 12/15 (same amount of time we had to pull of 11/15). This protest should be us, JTI and the Equal Marriage activists, asking America to “Join the Impact to Stop the Outrage.” Ask America to become 140,000,000 strong by 1/15/09 so we can implement our Economic Rescue/Stabilization/Reform act. Use this protest to launch a large scale economic boycott against GLBT oppressors and unethical business in general. EVERYONE is ready for a future with decent wages, affordable health care, college, etc. Sit back and watch the Str8 moderate flock to your side after 1/20/09. We need to excite Millions of NEW supporters…This may do the trick! Please think about what I have proposed, Evvie Harmon PS: 09/15 Lehman Brothers Collapsed. 9/15, 11/15. 12/15. 1/15…It’s almost like the Stars are aligning for the forces of good…if only we could speak out for each other in a BIG way! The HRC just came out with thier Shop for Equality list I suggest everybody download and use it. This will strengthen the gay economy, help those businesses that are equality minded stay afloat in these tough times and force those hateful businesses to adjust or change. 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
