Hit college campuses for signatures before the big protest and go to gay bars to get signatures. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Right now we have to focus on Rick Warren desecrating and denigrating Martin Luther King, Jr.'s pulpit (considering his anti-gay views). Please contact any of us (at glbtatl.org) for info. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I think it is important to advertise this event in the gay bars. Think about it. Every large city has at least one gay bar. Yet few people turned out for LUTN. Here in the east bay.. .we are going to contact the owner of the local gay bar and put up at least one flyer in the bar. If some of the gays aren't on the internet... well, they drink beer.

You have to reach out to your audience, and for decades the best medium for gays was the bars. I kind of think that's sad, but what do you do?

Go to the bars if you want a better attendance than LUTN.

We have several bars/taverns/pubs working with us on the Rick Warren protest. We're also canvassing all of the campuses in Atlanta (which is A LOT). Here in Atlanta we're working every angle we can for 1/19. Sadly, the DOMA protest is not ours to organize. Do you find this valuable?
