A prayer tonight for Durval Martins, killed this weeek in D.C.

Tonight, please let's say a prayer for Durval Martins, a 35 year-old gay man, who was shot and killed this week in Washington D.C. It is not known if his sexual orientation was a factor in his murder. But we have lost one of our brothers.

The killing comes at a time when D.C. activists, led by Gays & Lesbian Opposing Violence, have expressed concern that more than a half-dozen gay men have been assaulted this year in cases where they appear to have been targeted because of their sexual orientation.
