Need help with signatures for DOMA Protest?

Here are questions from JTI members and following each question is an official answer from Amy.
[Legend: Q= Question / A= Answer]

Q: What's is the ACTUAL DEADLINE THAT LETTERS MUST BE AT THE PO BOX IN OHIO?
A: Shoujokakumei is correct. Basically, the JTI team is heading to Washington DC on the 16th to get these signatures into Obama's hands on day one. We need to have received all signature pages by that date to ensure that they are with us when we head to DC. Based on post office estimations, we believe that mailing the signature pages on the 12th at the latest will ensure that we have them no later than the morning of the 16th.

Q: Which column on sig sheet must be filled in to count?
A: All we need is proof that the person actually exists. The least amount of information needed to prove this is printed name, signature, and zip.

Q: I have people wanted to fax me in their signature pages. Is this acceptable? I assume it probably needs to be the original but would like to just clarify.
A: We prefer that people do not fax the signature pages. We want Obama to receive the original signature pages to make this as organic and real as possible. This is also why we opted out of getting signatures online. As incredibly hard as it is to get signatures on something that is not online, we feel that this will also be our loudest statement. It has been way too long since 1 million signatures were gathered organically. We want Obama to feel the people in the room with him. On top of this, the validity of online signatures is always called into question. Though faxing is not as virtual as online, we also feel that it may take away from the impact. The more organic we can keep this the better. Please ask people to mail all signatures to the JTI mailing address provided. If faxing is the only option, then we will of course accept this, but we are hoping for as many original signature pages as possible.
