Freedom of Marriage Day
Jan 15 2009, 8:11 PM EST
I'm 17 and since i'm underage i was wondering if it is even possible for me to participate. i'm pretty sure i could but instead of being rejected because gay marriage is not legal in penn., i would probably be rejected for being underage. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

i'd really love to go but there is not any way i will be able to go. my aunt will never let me skip school, and i definitely will not be allowed to get out early to go to a protest. my principal didn't even allow people to get an early dismissal to go to the phillies parade. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Thanks for your support. Stay in school and graduate LOL, no seriously, school is important. I'd suggest that you see if there's a Straight/Gay Alliance club in your area and if they are doing any sort of visibility event at your school. Wear a white knot as a conversation starter if you feel comfortable or safe in your school to do that. Ask a teacher if you have a social studies or related class to cover the subject. If there's a school paper write an editorial. Thanks for your enthusiasm and support. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Great message Trek!We are in the process of creating GSA (Gay straight Alliance) Workshops that will provide students with information on how they can best help in activism at such a young age! If anyone under 18 is interested in being a peer leader, please contact me...I'd love to have young pioneers in the Equality Awareness Revolution! :) Brandi Do you find this valuable? |
