Marriage Equality USA, through a series of town halls held across California and a national on-line survey of over 3,100 respondents, collected community input regarding the homophobia and other harm experienced through initiative campaigns, like Proposition 8, and received personal stories that mirror these APA findings.

This is an amazing report! AMAZING! I highly recommend that everyone save a copy of this PDF because it gives detailed examples of the violence that happens when states run these amendments. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

After reading this report (which was hard to do without breaking down), I came up with an idea. What if we all printed out copies and mailed them to TV stations, Newspapers, our political representatives, churches, and any other group which we feel might not know what is happening.

I don't know if it would open any eyes, but even if it only did a few, it would be worth it. The actual PDF file is 16 pages, but with editing it in WORD or some other word processing program (I'm not suggesting selective editing, just copying it exactly as it is), I'm sure it could be shortened, which would bring down the cost of copying and mailing. Even if some got more than one copy, it would show that we are being hurt and want this to stop.

I'm going to send copies to my state Senators & Governor. The state legislators should get a copy so maybe, just maybe they will start seeing the fact that we have voices & deserve our civil rights now. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
