Email President Obama for Marriage Equality - Repeal DoMA!

Email Obama with your outrage!

Here's the email I just sent in response to his continued assertion that marriage is between a man and a woman:

Dear Mr. President,
How can a black man accept the tenet of separate but equal? You state that marriage is only between a man and a woman and seem to offer civil unions (with the same legal benefits) to same sex couples.

But that is exactly what Wallace offered to the black children of Alabama in the 60s - separate but equal.

As long as straight couples (like me and my husband) have the right to marriage, TRUE EQUALITY DEMANDS that same sex couple have the same right.

I admire you for your honesty and principles -- PLEASE DON'T TREAT OUR LGBT BROTHERS AND SISTERS AS SECOND-CLASS CITIZENS!
