Council Bluffs

I have tried several times to add a page for Council Bluffs, but I don't seem to be able to.We desperately need to get into gear here. We have got to stage rallies in support of our brothers and sisters in California who are so blatantly being discriminated against. We have to show them our support! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. We're doing fine, I can't speak for the other 17,999 couples heck, I can only speak for me. I just find it funny as I was talking to two tourists in front of the rally on Thursday, these two gals from a small town in Tennessee were saying "California, you're so progressive. Stopping Gay marriage in the state, that's like something that would happen in the Midwest, not here, right?" Well, yep California being the Left Coast, the leading edge we think things start here. We think as CA goes there goes the country. So the powers that be decided to show what they could do HERE to put fear in you. Like if they can stop us in CA what hope do YOU have against them. We will prevail and that may have been a huge mistake on their part because Ooopsie, looks like they united us across the country and the world. Hee hee. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Hmm, I wasn't attempting to make you laugh.I was genuinely looking to show support from our state. Frankly, we here in Iowa are doing pretty damn great right now. The saying is actually, "As Iowa goes, so goes the nation." Rarely has California actually been the one leading the way. At any rate, I will still be working to stage a rally in my area. Thank you!! It's a little late to get you all to the Meet in the Middle rally in Fresno. Wouldn't it be cool if the same idea was carried out in the middle .... of the US? I think what is needed right now is that we all come out, and we need community organizers and volunteers. If we tell our stories people understand. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
