i need help with a problem and i hope y'all can help :)

ok look we have come so far as in getting our rights and stuff. but we owe these accomplishments to many people such as, Harvey Bernard Milk, Anne Kronenberg, Dr. Frank Kameny, marry Griffith, Uzi Even, and many many others. i think is time to do something in there memory, to commemorate them because these people and many more have dedicated much of there lives for us and our right so it is time to honor them and there sacrifices because we all know none of them had to fight for our rights but they did and it is time we show them respect and do a hole day just for the people that have fault for use and our rights. do you agree with me? please let me know! and if you got any ideas on how we can do something i would love to hear them cause i am in charge of a gay straight alliance and i want to do something with them that would raise awareness. i personalty know most of my history but i cant think of a way to teach/ get others interested in gay history. so if you got any ideas plz let me know! we owe it to the pioneers of gay rights and to the people who died trying to make sure we have a tomorrow. i have sat in the back ground for long enough now i want to do something to commemorate them and to educate others. there is a famous quote that goes like this" those whom do not know the past are condemned to repeat it " with that being said i state we must know our history, so plz help me help others! and if you dont well i hope you seeing this post will at least make you think, what can i do? thank you for your time and any suggestion you may have. :)

I know I get a lot of pretty interesting email 'forwards' - easy to read, list things. Perhaps a list of inventions, artists, medical breakthroughs etc by GLBT people? Simple, clear, concise, entertaining and (gulp) EDUCATIONAL! I'd be glad to help you research it, but bet you already got me in the dust :) What do you think?

It might also help to mention some of the famous people throughout history that were purported to be Gay such as Alexander The Great, Leonardo Da Vinci, Frederich The Great of Germany or King Edward of England. If young people can be shown that there have been many Gay people that have done many great and exceptional things perhaps it would help them to go against what they are taught in the straight, christian world like that they are less than equal and should be ashamed of their sexuality.If not for the contributions that Gay people have made through out civilization we would not be the great symbol of humanity that we are today.
