Need advice help with partners child custody case

Hi, I've been with my partner for about a year and a half and am helping him with his child custody battle that's been lingering on. What happened was that in July of 2008 he asked his wife for a divorce. And as an act of retaliation she kidnapped their children to Hawaii. This is where I met him. Right now she is totally in control of him legally because of a bogus TRO that the Judge here in Hawaii kept in effect because of his own personal bias towards my partner. Why is our justice system allowed to be discriminatory? And how can someone simply be granted with a Temporary Restrainment Order with no Proof of anything? This is crazy. My partners ex-wife out of her mind and our legal system needs revamping. I am building a website dedicated to him and his struggle which hopefully will end soon.
